'Log File' based LOAD TEST Presentation

We can mail you a presentation of a load testing approach, based on utilizing log files.  Such a test, for a large Australian bank, was developed in the space of three  weeks.  This gave the bank the ability to generate projected load on their test system based on current production web usage profiles.

During test execution,, production support staff were heard making comments such as "This is amazing - it is behaving just like it does in production."   This is because everything from think times for each transaction through to web page abandonment were statistically re-produced, faithful to what was observed in production.  

This approach is not suited to all load testing situations, but have a look at the presentation and see if it could apply in your situation.
